Steinbeck House Menu Features Bounty of Produce

While enjoying your luncheon at the Steinbeck House, you will notice our emphasis on menus featuring fresh produce from the fields of the famous Salinas Valley. Valley Guild wishes to express our gratitude to the producers and distributors who donate their freshest products for our chef's use.

Fresh broccoli crowns are delivered weekly by D'Arrigo Bros. Co of California. Duda California provides fresh-from-the field celery, and our salads are enhanced by exciting salad blends from Fresh Express, Inc. From Green Star Produce Marketing come specialty items to enliven our menus: radicchio, mint, watercress, daikon, beets, green chard, and cabbage. Have you ever tried celery root? Salad Savoy Corp. provides the salad savoy which beautifies your plate and is also a delicious leafy vegetable. Our thanks also go to Sunridge Farms for the fresh locally grown romaine, red leaf and green leaf lettuce, important ingredients in our daily luncheon salad. We hope you enjoy the great flavors, and appreciate, as we do, the generosity of our agricultural community.
