A • L • A is an independently owned business in Santa Cruz County of California. Although A • L • A is a family-run business, we are far from small-time. We are the only SecurityLink from Ameritech, Interactive Technologies Inc. (ITI) and Security Pro authorized dealer in Santa Cruz County. We have been protecting local homes and businesses for more than 25 years.

1979 - 3M Company, soon to be National Guardian Security Services Corp., selected A • L • A to be their alarm services representatives for Santa Cruz County.

1985 - A • L • A started using security products developed by Interactive Technologies, Inc., world's leading manufacturer of wireless security products in the United States.

1987 - A • L • A purchased the 3M/National Guardian accounts from Airtight Alarm Services, Inc. of Monterey. With the acquisition of these Monterey accounts, our company merged both our Monterey and Santa Cruz branch offices.

1991 - After many years of installing hardwired security and fire alarm systems, closed circuit television, intercoms, electronic access control and electric gate systems, we decided to install only these superior state-of-the-art radio frequency supervised wireless security systems.

1995 - ITI selected A • L • A to become part of its nationwide network of Security Pro dealerships, an honor awarded to an elite group of security dealers.

1996 - Ameritech, second largest security services company in the United States, purchased the central station and security monitoring divisions from National Guardian, and A • L • A became the Authorized SecurityLink from Ameritech Dealer for the Monterey Bay Area.
