The all-electric (non-hydraulics) operating mechanism is completely enclosed to make it cleaner, quieter and more dependable, especially in extremes of hot or cold temperature. We still include the manual override control for emergency use, but now you get double backup protection with the addition of a new auxiliary electric override. You'll probably never have to use it, but it provides emergency circuit bypass to give you electrical lift power fro up and down operation when you need it most. Better to be doubly safe than singularly sorry.
